Dem Conference of Online Publishers for Akwa Ibom State (COOPA) don waka come Oruk Anam Local Government Area as dem dey run dem Citizens’ Tour wey go check how local government dey work and see developmental efforts. Dem led by Chancellor Mr. Utitofon Morgan, and dem meet local government leaders to look how di policies wey di current administration don affect Di people.

For di meeting wey happen on Thursday, January 23, 2025, Elder Festus, di Executive Chairman of Oruk Anam LGA, talk how e dey carry di FUTURE ASSURED Agenda waka. Dis plan be blueprint to lift di quality of life of  Oruk Anam people. E express thanks for COOPA’s visit, sey e important make people join hands for sustainable development.

Elder Festus yan di agenda wey cover important areas like agriculture, security, sports, unity, and rural development. Di main projects wey dey under dis plan be di ASSURED Model Farm, water project wey go serve places like Ikot Obio Aduak, plus football tournament wey go bring di youth together for better community feel. “We dey tackle di urgent needs of dey community while we de plan for long-term growth,” Elder Festus talk.

To boost security, e introduce di Community Safety Partnership initiative, inspired by ibom Community Watch, to make di area safe. One big achievement wey stand out na di grading of 15 roads across for 16 wards in Oruk Anam, after about 20 years wey dem no touch di roads. Dis infrastructure upgrade show di administration commitment to bring better life to di local area.

As part of di Governor Umo Eno’s clever home initiative, Elder Festus also announce new projects to keep di community moving forward.
