LAGOS – CALABAR COASTAL HIGHWAY: GOV ENO PRAISES FG, SAYS E GO BOOST ECONOMY
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, don praise President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Government for di 750km Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project wey go pass through eight states for Nigeria.
Governor Eno talk this during the ceremony wey dem flag-off di construction of di 65km, 3-Lane Dual Carriageway, wey be part of di 750km Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, wey go pass through Akwa Ibom State, for Ikot Asua Village, Nsit Atai LGA.
E say the people of Akwa Ibom wey go benefit from the road construction no go take am for granted, as di road fit pass through any other state for di coastal region.
Governor Eno list di benefits of di project, say e go open up some new new areas for economic growth and mak am easier to move goods and services to urban centres.
“First of all, I wan thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for starting dis big and important project wey go help open up di economy, expand business and mak it easier to move goods and services all over dey country.”
Governor Eno talk say the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway dey very important, as e go serve as key catalyst for di country’s growth and prosperity. E also talk say the road, when dem complete am, go help small and medium businesses, create work, promote interstate trade, and help communities to come together, as road dey pass through different communities.
Him talk say di parts of di project wey go pass through Akwa Ibom and Cross River States, like sections 3A and 3B, go bring big big benefits for the two states. E thank President Tinubu for him leadership and di way him dey focus on even development for di whole country, no matter political party.
“Di economic benefits for our state go be plenty, and we thank di President for him leadership and for focusing on developing di country well well, without any political bias.”
Governor Eno, wey represent President Tinubu for the flag-off, also ask di youths to work well with di contractors wey dey handle project, and to maintain di peace wey dem sabi Akwa Ibom State for. Him also promise say di state go work with di Minister to mak sure say compensation for land owners go quick, as soon as di Federal Government release the funds.
Di Governor still thank di Minister again for him efforts to fix the bad Calabar-Itu highway, and pledge to work with Hitech Construction Company to mak sure di road project get complete.
As him dey talk di go, him assure the President say Akwa Ibom people go continue to support am, so di President fit finish all the projects wey him start across di country.
“Mak I end dis Tori to assure our President, say di people love am, say he go finish the eight years. We go stand by am, and that na the truth. E no go start dis work and leave am halfway, because another person fit no finish am. Di hand wey start this work go surely finish am. Our prayer na good health for Mr President to finish di work wey him don start and commission am,” he talk.
Di Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, praise Governor Umo Eno for his efforts to develop infrastructure for we state, say him na true leader wey care about quality and people-focused projects. E also talk say the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway go boost the economy and improve access to Akwa Ibom State.
For him part, di Member representing Uyo Federal Constituency in di House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Mark Esset, thank President Tinubu on behalf of di people, and promise di Works Minister say di House go support di project to ensure say e go finish on time and benefit the people.
Di Executive Chairman of Nsit Atai Local Government, Hon. Anthony Nyong; Deputy Political Leader, Lawrence Udosen; and Paramount Ruler of Okobo, HRM Okokon Ita, also thank di President for di project and promise say di people go support the road project to make sure say e finish on time.
